Black Friday Shopping Checklist for Brides
While it's true that a wedding is often one of the top investments many will make in their lifetime, society makes us believe that in order to plan and create the day of your dreams, you have to fork out thousands of dollars and potentially even go into debt to make it happen.
But as a wedding planner and coordinator that has helped plan and decorate all sorts of weddings over the years, I can confidently say that couldn’t be further from the truth.
Your wedding can be whatever you want it to be, regardless of your budget. Sure, you may have to make some adjustments here and there and cut some things out to stay within your budget, but overall, you really can have the wedding of your dreams without spending more than you want.
I love helping couples see how they can be savvy, whether it’s by exploring a DIY route for certain aspects of their event or simply finding good deals, I want to help as much as I can!
Which is why I’m excited to create this resource for brides getting married in 2025. If you’re getting married in January or beyond, you have the month of November and December on your side.
With the holiday season approaching, tons of shopping deals are about to grace our presence and in this blog post, I’m sharing what I consider to be a Black Friday shopping checklist for brides specifically so you can prioritize what to buy and find some of your wedding season necessities at a fraction of the price.
The Ultimate Black Friday Shopping Checklist for 2025 Brides
Wedding Dress & Bridal Accessories 👰🏻♀️
As shocking as it may seem, many bridal shops actually offer special discounts on wedding gowns, veils, shoes, and other accessories this time of year. If you’ve had your eye on a specific dress or brand, Black Friday can be the perfect time to snag it at a discount.
Even if you can’t find your wedding gown at a discounted price, you can likely find other bridal accessories or bridal party attire, such as matching robes or pajamas, or groom and groomsmen attire.
A few notable online shopping options include:
Pro Tip: Before Black Friday, be sure to save links to dresses or accessories you love and look for price adjustments as the day approaches. Also, check return policies, as some discounted bridal items may be final sale.
Wedding Invitations and Stationery ✉️
Another huge savings opportunity during Black Friday and Cyber Week are your invitations or stationary suite. Since you’ll most likely be ordering your stationery online anyways, it’s the perfect time to search around and see which retailer is offering the best deal so that you can save in this area!

Pro Tip: Many online stationery retailers offer customization, so go ahead and create a sample design before Black Friday to have it ready to go once the discounts drop.
Decorations and Venue Styling 🍽️
Decor expenses can add up quickly if you’re not careful, so take advantage of Black Friday to buy items like centerpieces, signage, and lighting for less.
Some specific things to look for include table decor, like candles, linens, and dishware, lighting, whether it be fairy lights, lanterns, or even marquee signs, faux floral, and of course your signage!
For these items, it's wise to browse Amazon, Hobby Lobby, Michaels, or other stores that have your decor style so that you can find exactly what you’re looking for at a discounted price.
Pro Tip: Think about the theme and color scheme of your wedding before you shop so that you know exactly what to prioritize.
Bridesmaid & Groomsmen Gifts 🎁
Though it’s not a requirement to buy gifts for your wedding party, it’s often something that couples want to do to express their gratitude for those who have taken time out of their personal lives to be a part of such a special day.
And while wedding party gifts can be fun and thoughtful, it’s also one of those areas that can eat up a lot of your budget if you aren’t careful.
That’s why I strongly advise you to use Black Friday and Cyber Week to grab these items while they’re on sale.
Whether you’re buying matching pajamas, monogrammed robes, specific jewelry, pre-curated gift sets, ties, or socks, you’ll almost always find these types of items on sale!
Pro Tip: For these items, I suggest browsing Etsy and even Pinterest to find small businesses that specialize in wedding gifts and look into how they’re personally approaching the sale season during the holidays.
Honeymoon Essentials ✈️
When you’re all caught up in wedding planning, it can be easy to forget another fun event that often follows right after… your honeymoon! Though it might seem far off, it’s never too early to plan and save on essentials for your trip.
Whether you’re road tripping to the mountains, jet setting to a tropical resort, or staying somewhere locally for a staycation, you’ll most likely find that many destinations offer special deals and discounts when you book this time of year.
Additionally, don’t forget to look for savings on any travel essentials you might need, like luggage, travel outfits, or travel-friendly toiletries and makeup.
Pro Tip: When searching for travel deals, don’t forget to look at flights, rental cars, accommodations, and even experience at your honeymoon destination.
Top Tips For Black Friday Shopping For Your Wedding
To make the most of your Black Friday shopping and truly score some deals that help you make the most of your budget, I suggest following these tips:
1. Start Early
The last thing you want to do is start shopping blindly. Instead, create a game plan in advance so you know exactly what you’re looking for and you can research and plan accordingly. These days, many Black Friday deals start early, so set reminders for yourself so you don’t miss out when the deals go live.
2. Quality Over Quantity
Remember this: just because it’s on sale, doesn’t mean you HAVE to buy it! If you truly need it and were planning on buying it anyways, then by all means go for it. But overall, focus on high-quality items that will enhance your wedding and honeymoon experience and leave the rest.
3. Check for Coupons and Stacking Deals
In addition to the Black Friday deals, some retailers also allow you to stack discounts or use promo codes, so it can be wise to search for those before completing your checkout!
4. Remember Your Budget
I always say that the FIRST step in wedding planning is setting your budget and that’s because it can be easy to plan your perfect day on Pinterest and get your hopes up for what your big day will be… but then find yourself disappointed when you see the actual price for certain items.
That’s the last thing I want for you, so before you even start looking at Black Friday deals, make sure your overall wedding budget is set AND THEN, keep that budget closely in mind while you’re shopping.
Overall, Black Friday is the perfect opportunity for couples to score incredible deals on everything from wedding essentials to honeymoon must-haves.
With a clear plan, a prioritized checklist, and a little preparation, you can save significantly on your dream wedding while still getting high-quality, meaningful items.
Remember to stay focused on your needs, stick to your budget, and enjoy the thrill of checking things off your list. Happy shopping! 🛍️
